Kia Ora Whanau for the support today. Honk n I are pretty strong but it is also nice that so many think of us and wish us well. Porirua Court is so different then M.A as suspected and a visit before or after with Nath wasnt allowed and by all accounts, I wouldnt want to unless I liked dungeons, from info from those in the know.....it just doesnt happen there. His 11 o.clock court sitting came n went altho Frank, his funny lawyer kept us in the know and so it became 2.30. We had a fab lunch at the Plaza while waiting altho maybe Nath was only having noodles?????? Back to Court n there are alot of signs in the waiting area....No eating or drinking and yet half of them there, were munching out...No Bags and yet must females had a bag and Security spent a lot of time texting so buggered if I know how they focus on their actual job....Mind you, they were Big Buggers. While playing the waiting game outside in the shade I got up close n personal with 2 car loads dressed in kinda Red....I was there first so I wasnt moving so Im glad they were all user friendly...lolz As parents we all have expectations for our kids and being in court isnt one of them but it is what it is. No one and I mean absolutely No one had warned me that the judge would ask if we, as parents, had anything to say on Naths behalf...No was not an option for me and I talk how I write, in the hope that it would help our son so it was easy to do. The judge gave alot of credibility to the letters written by both Rick McCloud and especially from Mike Kawana on behalf of Pioneer. It all helped. Nath received 3 years and the ability to apply for parole in 18 months where we once thought he was facing 7. So there it is Whanau....no secrets here coz I dont see the point and well get on with life as we know it.
