Kia ora all Im pretty pressed for time, bogged down with mahi. No rest for the wicked - feel sorry for myself, AUE taukuri e! Have had an interesting debate on here, as you can all see, however, we will continue to EXPOSE those issues that deny us. The claim is made that we are still entitled to benefits, however, we cannot register. So, if we are not registered, or our registrations are now null and void - how does the puppet hierarchy (called the Trustees) monitor those entitlements? It would be right to say that all of us know that its our whakapapa which entitles us to register, that is to identify our birthright, and by that undeniable connection, to register. We then qualify for all thats on offer from time to time, and to have peace of mind that our iwi assets are satisfactorily safeguarded. I stick by our claims that what we are challenging is a Savage-Te Rire Whanau anti-Ngati Awa campaign which I personally witnessed taking place in the 1XX broadcasting studio in the 1970s. However, I still cant make sense of WHY the HATE cuts so deep with them? How was the seed planted in their minds? Once we get a handle on that it will provide opportunity to evaluate and issue a quality response. Now let us not get too bogged down because its not the whole of these two whanau thats driving the daggers into our hereditary entitlements. For the Te Rire Whanau, Boycie would be the most insulting and for the Savage Whanau, Helen Savage has run with equally distasteful insults in memory of Shuki Savage. An Beverley Adlam is there in the mix - she shaped the 2004 Trust Deed. What exactly are they fearful of, or, what are they defending? This takahi mana must be confronted. The last time I was in a whakatau at Hahuru there was just two in our ope. As I sat by the tupapaku I listened very attentively to Boycie Te Rire whaikorero - lucky he never spat tacks as he did once before to me because if he did, I was ready to takahi his korero, ka tuha atu, ka kanga atu. Ive heard him blowing about Te Arawa kawa, te mea, te mea - and I think to myself, Ive had more exposure to that kawa than you have - so who cares? Whatever kawa you practice, its mine, too - aua atu - you attention seeker, show-off, whakahihi. Theres also the korero about how Boycie waved his tokotoko violently at te tumuaki o Te Kura o Te Whatatau o Putauaki. My father-in-law told us about te tikanga o te tokotoko, and if I had seen Boycie abusing it I wouldve taken it from him while he was in that limited physical state and chopped it up for firewood - te kai a te ahi - because he violated the code of that tikanga. That is cause for utu. But the point is, thats how they generate ill-feelings - and, it even goes as far as the schools of our children. If it doesnt meet their expectations they start to BULLY, which is what this NTST registrations issue is all about - control by FEAR by use of BULLY standover tactics and they think they are so powerful they are above the law. Ive even been told that Ill get the bash until I say to them - Ill get my Uncle Kara on to you. Very effective deterrent that one. Marama is organising the venue - which, is to be confirmed on here, this Facebook page. The following is the FINAL ad appearing in the Wednesday Beacon - 8th October 2014.
