Kichloo discusses proposed State-of-Art Auditorium complex at Kishtwar SRINAGAR, Aug 8: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Tourism and Culture, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo convened a high-level meeting to discuss the issues related to the construction of proposed Auditorium complex at Kishtwar here today. Commissioner/Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Shailendra Kumar, Secretary, Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Haroon Rashid, Chief Architect, J & K, General Manager, SICOP and other concerned officers attended the meeting. The meeting was informed that a State-of-Art Auditorium will be constructed at Kishtwar at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.39 crore with all modern facilities, including Audio Visual & Acoustic equipments. The proposed Auditorium will comprise 2 museums, 1 seminar hall, 2 green rooms and an art gallery for the facilities of the visitors. It was further informed that all necessary formalities have been completed for the purpose and construction activities will commence soon after laying formal foundation by the authorities. The Minister expressed satisfaction on the progress of proposed project and directed the concern officers to keep in mind the futuristic requirements while constructing this prestigious building. He emphasized the need for paying special attention to deal with the challenge of earth quake and make use of the necessary objects meant for the purpose so that no harm is caused to the structure due to earth quake. The Minister also directed the Commissioner/ Secretary to ensure funds for the construction of entire project.
