How great is NE New Mexico??? Come join me this Sat July 6 and Sunday July 7 at Sugarite Canyon State Park. Here is the schedule for this weekend… I hope you can attend some of the activities and support our local gem of a state park. Saturday: 9AM “Coffee at the Campground” lake Alice Campground for coffee and doughnuts. 10:15AM “Plant Walk and Straight Talk” Lake Alice Campground. Take a stroll with “Plat Guy” Bruce Robinson and find out why the bear grocery store is not open yet. Bring hats and water. 7PM “Movie Night “ The Modern Black Bear: Born Wild, Raised on Trash” Mule Barn. Discover the strange world of black bears filmed in Raton by Game and Fish officers. Sunday: 9-11:30 AM “Digging Deeper at Sugarite Coal Ca,p” Park Visitor Center. Step back in time on the guided hike of Sugarite Coal Camp. Bring hat, water and good shoes. 9AM “Fire Walk and Straight Talk” Soda Pocket Ampitheater. Explorre a world transformed by fire in this walk with “Plant Guy” Bruce Robinson.
