Kids -- I need your help. It would be great to set up an online destination for uploading and viewing some of the 14-gazillion photos taken over reunion weekend. This is IN ADDITION to the photo site provided by the photographer. There are many photo-sharing websites, and I dont know which one to use. In the past Ive used Photobucket, but there are about a dozen others, and I dont know all their advantages and disadvantages. Id like some recommendations and warnings. Snapfish seemed good until I learned that each member has to be admitted, and thats too much work. Heres some of what seems to be important: Service should be free. Easy to upload and view with multiple devices and platforms. Minimal administrative effort. High quality. Huge capacity. Fast upload & download. Some sites are private. I dont think thats important. What do you think? The good-looking folks in the pic from Saturday night are Michelle Webber, Laurie Barnett, Richard Lebov, DeDe Aiden. The other photo shows a cake, not a classmate. Some tips for both the future photo site and this FB group: (1) Reduce image size by cropping out extraneous stuff at the sides, bottom and top. (2) Reduce the file size if you have Photoshop Elements and similar software with Save for web. Smaller files take less time to upload and will reduce the overall file space used by the group. (3) If you have multiple similar photos, pick and upload one. Dont worry if Lucretia is smiling in one photo but Horace looks bored to death -- and the other photo show the reverse. (4) If a photo is dark, lighten it with adjustment in your camera or use photo-editing software. We want to see faces, but be careful not to over-brighten, which will wash out details.
