Kids Care Fair held Saturday VICTORVILLE • Victor Valley Global Medical Center will hold its 12th annual Kids Care Fair on Saturday. The fair will allow children from 2 months to 18 years old to receive free medical services, including vaccines and physicals. This year’s fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Choice Medical Group Building No. 4 at the High Desert Event Center (San Bernardino County Fairgrounds). New additions to this year’s event include car seat safety checks and dental screenings. Children also can get free height, weight, body mass index, blood pressure and vision screenings. Many immunizations are being offered, including those for polio, measles, mumps, rubella and hepatitis A and B. Also being offered are immunizations for diphtheria and tetanus. The fair will not be just a free trip to the doctor’s office, though, as it also will feature train rides, live music and many more activities to brighten the atmosphere. There also will be free snacks, lunch and drinks, as well as prize drawings. The fair has seen more than 15,000 attend since 2001, according to a news release. — Compiled by Jose Quintero and Jason Clark for the Daily Press
