Kids International Ministries is sending a team of approximately 10 Filipinos, including two nurses, to Tacloban, the hardest hit area. We intend to keep them there for up to a year. Our plan includes feeding people twice a day, providing water filtration, clothing, medical supplies, and food. Also, we will be sending down building materials, fuel, cement, and other building supplies. Tacloban was basically destroyed and currently only military/aid planes are landing in the city. The shipping port was also destroyed so were exploring ways of airlifting supplies in. Basically, any funds raised can be used to help either buy supplies or bring supplies in from the U.S. and other countries. We have five containers being shipped to Manila at the moment with relief supplies. Any donations can be shipped here to Manila as well and we will make sure they get to the hardest hit areas. Please email jefflong11@hotmail if you would like to contribute/donate to this cause. We are committed to helping people any way we can. And above all, please continue to pray that the situation will improve in Tacloban as there are many reports of desperate people looting and chaos.
