Kids back are back to school next week and newbees will be starting ... oh the butterflies! Fluttering in the tummy can make it hard to re-fuel properly and concentration will be taxed to the max. To make it easier for the newbees here are a few tips: 1. This weekend pack their lunch boxes with food they will be taking and take on a picnic - that way you can see what they can handle opening and what order they choose things. 2. If any difficulty opening cling wrap/packets use grease proof paper or baking paper and leave any zip lock sandwich bags unsealed (or partially open). 3. Bananas can have the top and bottom sliced off with a little slit for easy opening. 4. Poppers to be frozen the night before and used as a cool box (not straight apple juice please - it is linked with kids upset tummys). Really all juice should be diluted and water is best so have a supply of little drink bottles (BPA free). Not food related but certainly linked with butterflies - make sure undies worn for the day are a little bigger than normal with good elastic - easier for pulling down and up when those butterflies are flying. And for mums/dads with butterflies - enjoy the day, plan an activity - dont sit at home and have a banana yourself - good for soothing serotonin! Happy back to school for everyone!
