Kilee doesnt understand what it means to see her daddy each morning at school before she goes to class. Carter has no idea of the significance of seeing his daddy day after day. Thats all they know. To them, thats normal. But someday, they will grow up. They will realize what the standard of a father is. Kilee will think back to all of the mornings that her daddy came to school just to give her quarters for ice cream. She will remember all of the hugs, kisses, and I love yous. She will realize that most fathers dont get out of bed for their kids unless they have to. Carter will see the importance of his daddy being involved in his schooling as much as he possibly could. He will understand the importance of his daddy holding his hand as he falls asleep at nap time over and over again. Every hug, kiss, and I love you will suddenly have more meaning to him. Someday, Kilee will find a man based on these characteristics. She will understand that a man should put her first, even when he doesnt have to. Carter will grow into the man that he remembers. He will be loving and caring, always putting those that matter the most to him first. Kilee and Carters daddy isnt just delivering ice cream money and holding hands at nap time. Im laying down foundations.
