Killers of Dreams SUCCESS Why would I identify success as a killer of dreams? Because I agree with the words of Bahamian pastor and author Dr. Myles Munroe who said that, “The greatest threat to personal progress is your last success”. Do you connect with this? In other words, your present success is not a guarantee for your future success to a certain extent. Don’t see this as confusing or discouraging. In the just ended World Cup in Brazil, the Black Stars of Ghana were fortunate to meet USA again after they thrashed USA during a previous encounter. The tone in Ghana which by far represented that of our team was that once beaten, twice will we beat them again. We were yet to experience the case of a wounded lion. The Americans did to us what we had done to them. They defeated us. The foremost killer disease of dreams is success because if you do not put it in the right perspective you will be disappointed. Watch out for your last success. You must either use it to your advantage or it will enter your head and like the Black Stars of Ghana pull your dream of doing well in life down. David in the Bible used his last success of killing bears and lions to bring down the giant called Goliath. Let your success push your dreams. Enjoy today. September 2014, Knowledge for Living
