Killing an innocent soul in #Islam is a serious matter and a grave crime. In an authentic hadith the Prophet ﷺ warned that he who kills anyone having a treaty of protection with Muslims, shall not smell the scent of Paradise, though its scent is perceived from a distance of forty years. (by Ibn Majah and At-Tirmidhi). In fact, He ﷺ taught that justice is not only to humans but must be shown to animals and all living things. In a narration the Prophet ﷺ informed us about how a lady was sent to hell because of a cat she had locked up until it starved and died. (Bukhari & Muslim) If such is the sanctity which #Islam places on the soul of an animal, how much more grave is the killing of hundreds of innocent humans?! Allahu Akbar! Indeed, not an atoms weight of deed in the Earth and in the Heavens escapes our Lords vision! And the wrongdoers without doubt will be brought to account.
