Kim Rockey – the incredible lady behind Rockeys Rescue – was in a terrible horse riding accident over the weekend. The horse was spooked and reared, flipping onto its back – and on top of Kim. She was hospitalized and is now recuperating with her family. This will be a long process of rehabilitation for her and the expenses will be exorbitant. Kim is a truly an amazing woman. She began working in a veterinary practice when she was 15 and went on to become a vet tech. Helping animals is her driving force. She is a truly altruistic person who does everything she can to help animals from high-kill shelters to find new and loving homes. All the animals are fed top tier foods and given excellent vet care. If a dog needs a medical procedure that exceeds the cost of the adoption fee, she has the procedure done then just covers the overage herself. The dogs’ health and well-being is of primary importance to Kim. Now, its time we helped her! Lets get some of these medical expenses covered for her. If anyone deserves the help, she does.
