Gabe was growling and he had his fur up around another (younger, also intact) male. He kept trying to put his muzzle on top of the other dogs shoulders, and off they would go into an almost-fight. I tried to explain the process, and when the other owner happened to put his dog on a leash, I coralled Gabe, wheeled him around, and lifted his tail. I explained to the owner that this was kind of a proper dog introduction and I was making sure Gabe got sniffed first since he was being more aggressive. Ten or twenty seconds later: Fur down, growling stopped. No more whites-of-the-eyes visible. Tails wagging in a more relaxed fashion. (: Thanks, Al! 1Unlike · . You like this..
