Kims TV Series for 1st November 2014: Supernatural. In a nutshell, Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, the series follows the two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings in the world. They inherited the job from the father and daddy issues form part of the brothers character building. A 67 Chevy Impala is the shows signature car. What I liked about the series was the mix of modern and ancient - in much the same spirit as The Dresden Files, which Kim liked too. Although hed other attractions to the show (not least was having the hots for Padelecki and Ackles). The show featured a lot of classic Rock tracks from Led Zeppelin Blue, Öyster Cult, Bad Company, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rush, Boston, Triumph and AC/DC to name but a few, and when the brothers used aliases they were always the names of Rock musicians. Supernatural was originally envisioned as a 5 season story arc, but has (because of viewing figures) been continuously renewed and is now in its 10th Season. The clip below shows Jensen Ackles in the 67 Impala doing a spoof performance of Survivors Eye Of The Tiger: It was Kims favorite out-take (We have seasons 1 - 5 on DVD and saw up to season 8 broadcast before we moved. Neither of us saw seasons 9 or 10.)
