Kind hearted folks who donate to animal rescues. I have once again seen a scam today. Please take the few moments to check with your State Ag consumer division and make sure a rescue is registered as a non for profit. Also if they claim to be a 501 (c) 3 go to IRS and type in their name. It takes a few moments and is worth the time to make sure the animals truly get what is needed. There are wonderful private rescues out there as well. But they cant solicit funds without registering with their State Ag department. I would never want to see another deal like we experienced, rescues duped as well, like LaBelle, Florida. A lot of innocent animals suffered at the hands of scammers. Thank you and bear hugs to all
