Born in a village near Karanprayag, Anoop is truly ‘aap’ ka candidate with best possible credentials that add a special aura to his persona. Like you and me, he too is an aam admi with a middle class background. He has an Honours degree in Economics from Delhi’s famed Shriram College of Commerce; he is also an alumnus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. He is married to the only daughter of Mr. Ramesh Saklani of the respected Saklani family of the Odeon Cinema of yesteryears. Even in the aftermath of the recent Kedarnath tragedy, Anoop is now collaborating with global institutions and networks that are focused on providing long-term rehabilitation and relief to the victims of the 2013 Uttarakhand disaster victims. He is the India trustee for the combined global efforts of American India Foundation.
