The Cuélebre, Asturias/Cantabria Dragon The Spanish variety of dragon is the Cuélebre, particularly, from the regions of Asturias and Cantabria. Clever, winged and with artful scales, the Cuélebre are immortal and in love with pretty, glossy things. They stock treasure and fairy like blonde nymphs. The Cuélebre story goes like this, there is a young beautiful woman but vain young woman distrust her family’s alert against combing her hair as she adores her reflection in a pool of water. Sadly, a mighty water nymph living in the pool saw as she neglects her tasks in the favor of this action. The girl mess up the surface of the water, as one of her hair drops in, the nymph takes the time to teach her a lesson. The girl was cursed by the nymph, girl was growing large, her hair is changed into crests and her skin by scales, and she develops wings. In true fairytale story the maiden can only be back in her true form by meeting a knight who is so courageous that he is not afraid of you and has a heart so pure that he finds you beautiful. The Cuélebre stays in a cave by the sea and waits. The Chuvash, Chuvashia Chuvash dragons originated from Chuvashia, it is in the center of the European part of Russia. Chuvash dragons are the common European winged fire breathing sorts but with the capability to change form from dragon to human. The tribal people of the Chuvashians, who live there today, were Bulgars and told the tale of how when they set up the town of Bilar they came upon a large snake. The snake, which the Bulgars settled to kill, pleaded for amity and was given wings by Allah – which is how the dragon came to fly. Like the Yilbegan, the Chuvash dragons can be polycephalous. The ultimate famous Chuvash dragon, though, is one called Veri Celen (actually, fire snake in Chuvash) who was ready to take human form, just to visit women and men in the night and sleep with them. The Naga, Republic of India A Naga can be found in Hindu and Buddhist culture, this dragon is a wingless type of Indian dragon. Even if the word Naga is often ambiguous the Mahabharata (it is an epic Sanskrit poem that is an important text in Hindu) tells us that the Naga acquires the traits of both snakes and humans. Hinduism, the Naga are described in similar style to the Chinese family of dragons, being simple spirits that are combined with water sources but can also be European style guardians of great treasure. Naga are also found in Buddhist tradition – as polycephalous (double headed) serpents that can magically transform them into human form. Like the Naga of Hindu legend, the Buddhist history prefers watery dwellings. They specifically like to eat frogs and drink milk. The Korean dragon, North/South Korea Korean dragons are copied from the Chinese ones, are given exact similar cultural status and look much a lot. Where the Chinese dragons has five toes and the Japanese three, the Korean has four – the dragons are told to have lost toes as they moved south. Korean dragon has a lengthy bristles and no wings. Like other Asian dragons, the Korean collection was supposed to be harmonious and kind creatures that were strongly combined with water and agriculture. Most of the Korean dragons live in watery places such as rivers, lakes, oceans, and ponds. Korean dragons alter from others in that history records them as being attentive and capable of understanding concepts like affection, gratefulness, and kindness. Before a Korean dragon is a dragon it can be an individual called an imoogi. Depending on which account you read, imoogi are childish dragons that must live for 1000 years prior becoming a dragon or alternatively, cursed hornless individuals that are unable to become fully-fledged dragons. That’s all the classified dragon guys, hope you enjoy it.
