King Carlos wanted the side to step up after an extremely poor - TopicsExpress

King Carlos wanted the side to step up after an extremely poor performance last week, it is safe to say, the Team stepped up for the first 40 minutes. It was a game of two halves, Kings had possession, & territory in the first half and didnt really didnt deserve to be trailing at half time, however the Bulls strangled the Kings in the second half with 70% possession and lots of territory, and in the end it was a walk in the park on the score board. Looking back at the game there was poor decisions at time, to many knock ons, tapping penalties when 3 points were on offer early in the game, line outs started poorly, our backs were extremely lateral and seldom broke the Bulls solid defense, we gave away a number of penalties in the scrum (poor binding) that being said when we scrummed, the Bulls felt it. Kings were surprisingly poor under the high ball, dont recall us holding onto any and the Bulls always seemed on the front foot on the Gary Owen (up & unders). Some positives, Bulls didnt get their bonus point try, Kings kept on fighting until the end, and again had the final say, something to give their loyal Supporters something to smile about (albeit a small smile) Reality is, the Kings have played 6 & lost 6, you have to play for 80 minutes in this league if you want to compete. So where too from here, well we have to pick up the pieces, and play the Free State next Saturday @ 15h00, King Carlos has to make some starting line up, we have to ask, when will Captain Luke be back, we need his leadership on the park, just to calm everything down at key moments. With results like this, sponsors will run away, sponsors like supporters like winning sides, Cheeky the buck stops with you, we needed that sponsor before the season started. To the loyal Kings Army supporters out there , that first victory is not far away, keep the belief and give the players the support . Kmon u Kings
