King University Starts Issuing Electronic Transcripts with Parchment to Facilitate Next Education or Career Milestone Finally! King University now has a transcript process to complement the online graduate school and job application processes. The University Registrar, Jessica Swiney partnered with Parchment to make official electronic transcripts available to current students and alumni. With Parchment, the leader in e-transcript exchange, education credentials are requested, sent and delivered electronically, securely and confidentially. Now you can request an official transcript and send it to the university or employer of your choice with just a few clicks. The best part is you can request your transcript anytime from anywhere. Visit registrar.king.edu/ to get started. Unless there is a hold on your student account, transcripts will be sent to your requested destination within 3 to 5 business days. The cost is $5 per request with an additional cost for mailed copies depending upon the method of shipping. Students will still have an option to pick up a free copy of their transcript, during regular business hours when the student comes by the main office on the Bristol campus. Jessica Swiney, Registrar, said the change is in response to students who have requested official electronic transcripts, and an increase in other institutions that prefer electronic transcripts to paper ones. Students can order transcripts online at their convenience, and then use their account to track when it was sent or received. “Automating the transcript process is critical to streamlining operations and enhancing student satisfaction; Parchment made the process as quick and seamless as possible,” said Jessica Swiney, King University, Registrar. Full automation with Parchment provides a secure, easy-to-use online transcript solution, and allows King University students to order, receive, send and print transcripts in any format or to any data standard. “The result is greater operational efficiency, along with significant cost savings, which will give King University’s, Office of Registration and Records, the ability to focus resources on higher-level activities and continuously improve our service to students. With this transparent process we are providing a peace of mind as students work to realize their post-college ambitions. Online processing makes everything much faster.” said Swiney. The Office of Registration and Records will be providing graduates with two free transcripts along with their diploma after graduation. This will be a new process that will start with the Summer 2014 graduates. King University’s, Office of Registration and Records are focused on helping students progress to their next education or career milestone.
