Kingdom Snapshot at Kingdom Investing Outreach Centers Interactive Bible study ~ 10/8/14 ~ 7pm ~ Minister James Wheeler ~ G.R.O.W.T.H. (Gaining Revealation of Word Through Him) ~ 1 Peter 1:13-16, 2:1-3, 4:12-14, 5:8-9; Hebrews 5:11-14! After asking the audience if we faced any challenges from the message on Sunday, Minister James Wheeler shared how the message impacted him! He said once he recognized what happened, he was running to the House on Wednesday night! He assured us as he testified that that the key to any experience is to learn and grow from it! As we explored, 1 Peter 1:13-16 in detail, one of the main keys he wanted us to walk away with was to think before we act, to be ready and exercise self control. I know it seems simple but you and I both know simple doesnt always come into play when we act before we think. He discussed how easy it is slip back into our old ways! Wow, that discussion must have hit a lot of buttons because hands flew up and comments were expressed throughout the audience! It was heavily noted how our thoughts, conversations and remembering the good-ole-days are many times pits that the enemy has designed for us! As Minister James brought us back to the text, he reminded us a key to success in this area is accountability. It was great how he tied our inputs back into the lesson of being spiritually mature! Again he made it clear, that not only is God speaking to us today but Hes requiring us to be righteous and in all our ways. As we traveled with him to 1 Peter 2:1, he simply said clean YOUR house, get rid of every negative and ungodly thought and behavior. Needless to say, a moment of silence echoed through the House. We listened intently as he shared the analogy of child on milk and how we should grow as Christians. What caused us to sit a little straighter is when he said no grown man should be still drinking Similac milk! Of course, one could hear a few chuckles but the biblical principles were undeniably clear! By the time we reached Hebrews 5:11-14, he was asking us to do personal spiritual assessments. He downloaded and pulled out the biblical applications from the text! We could so plainly see his desire He for us to understand that we cant be in this place and if by chance we are then we have time to get it right. We could hear God as he declared that the people are coming and we must be ready! He urged us to understand Apostle Peters intent behind this letter. He wanted the people to remain together as they grew together. He exposed the fallacy that as Christians we wouldnt have trails (1 Peter 4:12-13)! But we joined in praising and thanking God with him when showed us in scripture that we are partners with Christ in trails! Now thats a shift in our mindsets! As he concluded, he encouraged us as we explored 1 Peter 5:8-9 with him. He urged us to be on same page at the same time. Its a corporate move! We are strongest when we are together! Scripture References: 1 Peter 1:13-16, 2:1-3, 4:12-14, 5:8-9; Hebrews 5:11-14. We want you to have an experience like none other because you are at a church like none other.
