Kingdom Truth vs. Lies in the Evangelical Church “The average person tells 4 lies a day or 1460 a year, a total of 88,000 by the age of 60.” Many people lie—including Christians The phrase “I tell you the truth” Appears 79 times in Scripture— 78 times spoken by Jesus— We can believe everything Jesus said! Jesus is TRUTH The “belt of truth” holds together our spiritual armour (Eph. 6:14) God “does not lie” (Titus 1:2) but Today there are great LIES in the Church Men have made the Church a business— Men have claimed that they have an anointing However they have lies written on their face “‘Do not let the prophets deceive you. Don’t listen to their lies. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,’ declares the LORD” (Jeremiah 29:8-9). There are many on TBN that prophecy lies— Christian celebrities like John Todd, Mike Warnke and Lauren Stratford were proven to have lied about their experience with Satanism and sold millions of books and Entertained countless evangelical audiences in the process— There are many that lie about their experience with Jesus— It is an easy way to make money and many are doing it! Many have studied the teachings of Evangelicals and many have Discovered that their teachings were dangerous—the description of Mysticism fits Benny Hinn [one example] with incredible accuracy! His message has become a movement that has wrongly Been incorporated into Christianity—this apostasy has Caught the eyes of many because people long for power Power is innocent but the abuse of power is dangerous! There are some good speakers on TBN but There are also those who lie a lot— It is written on their face—the eyes do not lie Many on TBN have prophecy about things that are going to happen and It did not come to pass—people were stirred up and they gave money! The world scorns the church for serving as a platform for such lies A large number of Christians are unaware that literally Truckloads of counterfeit Christians have gained access to Pulpits— Peter said “there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction” (2 Peter 2:1).
