King’s Daughters Medical Center earns ACE accreditation; only hospital in three states to achieve distinction King’s Daughters Medical Center announced this week that it has received full accreditation for cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) from the Accreditation for Cardiovascular Excellence, or ACE. KDMC is the only hospital in Kentucky, Ohio or West Virginia to achieve this distinction and one of fewer than 20 facilities nationwide to have demonstrated adherence to ACE standards. ACE is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards for cardiovascular and endovascular care. To achieve ACE accreditation, an organization must successfully complete a professional review of its organizational structure, internal processes, patient safety practices and clinical outcomes. King’s Daughters voluntarily requested the accreditation review, reflecting the system’s priority to provide the highest quality health care to its patients, said Kristie Whitlatch, President and CEO of King’s Daughters Health System.
