Kinsale RFC make history! Kinsale have qualified for Junior Division 1 status for the first time in 32 years of the clubs existence. The team,coaches and supporters travelled to Waterford in their last game of the League and a win was the only result that would secure promotion. The game was played in cool crisp Sunday afternoon in Waterford City RFC. The scorers on the day were : Richard Kingston, Dan OBrien,and Peter Murphy all tries . Conversions by Peter Murphy and Sean Kingston. Club President Paul Kingston “I am absolutely delighted with the result and it’s great to see that nine of the players came through the underage section. I was thrilled also to receive texts and emails of good wishes from neighbouring clubs of all codes ”. Club Chairman Paul Mc Carthy said: “It’s massive step forward for the club,well done to all players and coaches for making this possible”.
