These radicalized, indoctrinated, hot-headed so-called Islamic revivalists must be condemned. They claim that they want to bring back Nizame Mustafa(saw) or Sharia rule. Holy Quran unequivocally declares that if one kills one innocent person he is the killer of all mankind and if saves one innocent life he is the savior of all mankind. These hot-headed bearded taliban cannot claim to be a Muslim in the light of the teachings of Islam. This is high time that the rational and secular Muslims should come forward to denounce the violent Islam championed by ISIS, Boko Haram, Tahreeke Taliban and the likes. We should remember that these elements use Islam as a weapon to legitimize their atrocities and cruelties. It is also the time for all Indians to learn lessons from our neighboring country. Pakistan allowed people to use Islam for political purposes and it finally culminated in religious terrorism. The rightist forces in our country are also occupying public space and creating smart illusions by using the legitimating vocabulary of nationalism, ghar wapsi, distortion of history etc. These forces are successful in compelling the majority to suffer from perceived future minority syndrome. A unifying discourse based on Secularism i.e., Sarva dharma sambhava will be befitting reply to rightist forces in our country.
