Kiss your electrician or any skilled trades worker for that matter. Scary thought: An electrician may cost more to hire than an attorney in the next 10 years. Here is why: Less and less high school graduates are enrolling in a skilled trades program every year, the nations infrastructure is deteriorating and has a D rating, baby boomers are retiring at a rate of 1/4 million per month and severe weather changes are causing a demand for more electricity use causing a demand for more power plants and a trillion dollars more spent on electricity use by 2040. Low supply of skilled labor and high demand for those who are already trained plus more demand of electricity use = lucrative positions for contractors that can man jobs.
