Dunamis and Sophia Okunowo 10th October, 2014 How to succeed in relationships and marriage by cooperating with heavens agenda in your life In Daily Devotional John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3:27 KJV It has been established long ago, both in the scriptures and in the physical realm, that life without God is futility in display. A man who has decided to live without God is a disaster waiting to happen, a celebration of foolishness and failure decorated. The humane has been configured and conditioned to only make it with the input of the divine, and the ignorance of that reality often lead to monumental and regrettable actions, which could have been avoided. Man is limited in his sight and senses; he is often as informed as he is exposed. Thus, you cannot compare the thoughts of a well-exposed person with one who has been in some form of societal hibernation. The expansiveness of your mind and the possibilities that it can handle and entertain is as massive as your relationship with divinity. When you dont know God and take advantage of that relationship, you will be limited and you will be apt to make mistakes. Thus, when you are open to God, and you synchronise your life with His will, your life gains speed and order. So the scripture above aptly declares: A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven… That is the plain truth. A man cannot receive a good wife, except it be given from heaven. There is a difference between a wife and a good wife. A woman cannot receive a good husband unless it be given from heaven. A man cannot receive a good job unless it is given from above. Message translation puts it this way: It is not possible to succeed… That is the stark reality. True success only comes as a result of your relationship with God. In John 1:3 Everything was created through him; nothing––not one thing! –– came into being without him. (John 1:3 Message) Everything came though God. My question to you this morning is, are you on God’s side? If you are still trying to do things your own way, your own style, your own time, and in your own terms, it is all futility. Even when it comes to true wealth, it comes for God. I am not talking about the wealth that you spend your health to get and after getting the wealth, you now begin to spend the wealth to maintain the failing health. I am talking about true riches that come from God! The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22 KJV) One can get riches without God, but true riches only come with God How do you know if you are on God’s side? How do you know you have God’s support? How do you know that heaven will undertake for you? Here are some questions that need answers. 1. Have you truly given your life to Jesus? Have you accepted Him as your Lord and personal savior? Or have you taken your life back from Jesus? 2. Are you serving Him in any capacity in a local assembly? Or are you just a disconnected and disenfranchised church goer? Your passion for God is indicated in your pursuit of service for Him. 3. Are you living a life devoid of sin and deception? There is no way you can truly be a child of God and still be comfortable living a habitual sinful life. They just don’t go together! 4. Are you a giver and a supporter of God’s work? Do you give to ministries that are blessing you? I called for our members to give to KHC towards our annual conference sometimes ago. Did you give? Did you strive to give? Your ability to respond to supporting God’s work, no matter the amount is indicative of your where your heart is. If you missed that article, you can read it HERE 5. Finally, do you place priority on your relationship with God through constant, consistent reading of God’s word and praying to Him? That is very important. Let the reality settle in. You cannot really go far without God. Go along with Him and let Him remove chaos and confusion from your life. It is just simple wisdom, if a man can receive nothing except it be given him from heaven, then it is better to cooperate with heaven now! May God help us all.
