Kitchen Tip: I always put a glaze on my sweet (quick) breads. I think it keeps them moist, and ALWAYS make sure that it gets dripped down over all the sides of the bread. If your breads tend to have a slightly thicker dark edge to them (check them 5 minutes sooner next time), the glaze will keep the sides and edges moist too. ** Just start with 3/4 cup powdered sugar, and whisk any liquid in (1 tsp at a time) until smooth drizzle consistency (milk, juice, creamer, rum, brandy, or whatever) ** I like to do it on the bread as soon as it comes out of the oven, so it will soak into the cracks and sides. Its more translucent then ~ it will be opaque if you glaze when theyre cool **
