Kitchen experimentation: I have to confess, I do not like BBQ hamburgers. BBQ hamburgers do not like me. I also dont like that McCormick Grill Mate hamburger spice. To be honest, they make me soil the air with all the veracity of a coal fired power plant. That being said, I like the bark on Texas dry rub brisket...but...the complexity of the recipe makes the spices cost more than the burger... I think I stumbled upon the answer tonight...Flavor wise, it was a hit. Digestive wise, no heart burn. Visually, the blackened part was not burnt...it was flavor nuggets. I will hone the EZ on-the-fly pseudo-dry rub flavor non-BBQ hamburger recipe after further testing. :) Stay Tuned...
