Kits road into rescue has been a tough one. He was picked up as a stray in the Houston area. Because he was heartworm positive, he was scheduled for euthanasia. Luckily, we were able to find a space for him in our rescue. He was totally matted, so the Houston shelter shaved him down and he lost his beard. Hes a bit timid when his foster mom isnt around but warms up very quickly and just wants to have his very soft self, petted and rubbed. He was the best model at the photo shoot recently. Kit has been neutered, he is up to date on his shots, (rabies, distemper, and kennel cough), vet checked, and micro chipped. He is heartworm positive but has started treatment for it. Well be able to retest in 4 to 6 months, at which time the rescue will pay for that testing and any further treatment that is required.
