Kiwi Update - 1/4/2015 The basic blood work came back. It supports a severe bladder infection, and her kidney values are off. It appears that the infection has moved up to her kidneys. They have ordered an extra test to be performed on the urine sample that they already sent in to find out what type of infection so that they can fine tune an antibiotic for her. She will be on it for at least a month. The is a chance it will come back simply because of her special needs. They are advising that we perform a urinalysis on her about once every two months going forward. We are going to need to raise some funds to go into the 10th Life Program at the rescue to help pay for her new meds and the new urinalysis schedule. To make things easier if you would like to donate you can send them to the new rescue account via PayPal. Anyone in the US will get a tax receipt in the postal mail as I have access to the reports on that account and I handle all the tax receipts for the rescue. :) If any excess funds are received, we will hold them for Kiwi and will help one of the other 10th Life Program kitties, if needed. This photo was taken a few days ago. She is on the beautiful blanket that Tayzer Tailz & Furiendz (the love of her life) got her for Christmas. She is also wearing her pink and crystal pearls Andes showing off her new food dish. Im hoping she will user her dish soon, because right now she feels so yucky that I have to syringe feed her or she just wont eat. I also have to give her SubQ fluids every other day for the next week. Please keep her in your thoughts. Were not out of the woods yet, but she is trying.
