Kiyos fight against Epitheliotrophic Lymphoma Posted by Sara Wollaston · 16 minutes ago Hi guys, Kiyo had bloods taken tonight to check her white blood cell count to see if it has regenerated enough for her to able to have chemo on Friday. We will hopefully know tomorrow. Also, I just want to add this bit of info as Kiyos page is all about what happens during her treatment. We found out through pre chemo blood tests that she had a problem with her liver, A while before this all started, I noticed that Kiyos breath was smelling really bad. A few weeks ago I asked 1 of the vets why her breath could be so bad. Her teeth were checked & nothing wrong. I was scared that it could be internal cancer causing it but the vet said that it could be the liver enzymes causing it. Since being on liver meds from the vet & milk thistle from me every night, her enzyme count dropped by 500 in just 8 days!!! It was checked again tonight but we dont know the results yet BUT, her breath has improved dramatically so Im pretty sure the vet was right. Moral of this update is, if your dog suddenly develops bad breath, get them checked for liver problems. I only know all this stuff because of what we are going through but I set Kiyos page up to be a helpful story as well as a tribute to her. Kiyos fight against Epitheliotrophic Lymphoma Like
