Deflation could destroy a nation rather rapidly. Some deflation however is good when assets prices are overvalued as they are now. Today, deflation is being used as a weapon in Europe against the people, forcing austerity on the citizens, strangling them to poverty. The objective is to create a welfare state, no middle class, and an oligarchy and technocrats running the show.
