KnewKnew is a guarded 3 yr old pit mix who needs our help . Please share to foster or adopt. She is scared and unsure of whats going on. Help tonight because tomorrow will be to late. A volunteer writes:" KnewKnew was found as a stray, together with an unlikely companion, Mitchell, a scared little Cocker Spaniel mix. She is a beautiful and stern female who it appears has cared for a few litters. She looks healthy and has a well groomed coat. NewNew is taking quite a bit of time to come out of her shell. I have been talking frequently to her, dispensing treats and finally, she decided to come out of her den, for a walk in the yard. She is quite wary, not ready to "give in"...She has a tough look. Still, although careful, I am not worried. I know there is a dog behind that facade. She will make progress. NewNew eliminates on the way, then sits by my side. She let me pet her. She used to flinch, not anymore. I even get a furtive look from time to time, not angry or scared but almost puzzled. Just baby steps but I feel it my duty to point NewNew in the right directions and make her feel better reguardless of her outcome. NewNew has a way to go...Is there someone out-there who could make her see that there can be light at the end of the tunnel? NewNew is at the Manhattan Care Center."
