Know Love Serve Survey Please take the Pastoral Planning Survey! Go to this site: https://surveymonkey/s/YLSNLS3 What is it? It is a tool to gather the input of parishioners to help discern a pastoral plan. This is not a means of taking a vote to determine what we want to do. Our objective is to understand what GOD wants us to do. A Pastoral Plan for Whom? For both the Diocese of Spokane and our parishes (My Parish Family in Republic, Curlew, Northport, Kettle Falls, and Colville). How will my responses be used? In two ways: 1) They will be sent to the diocesan committee tasked with helping the bishop discern that plan. 2) The responses will also be used by a committee of the Pastoral Councils of our parishes to help discern a plan for our parishes. What is special about this survey? It is discernment, not creation. We are engaged in a process of uncovering Gods will, rather than advocating for an agenda of our own creation. It follows a Stewardship model. What is a Stewardship Model? Stewardship begins with an encounter with the fact that God has freely given us gifts for us to use and enjoy, but also to be placed at the service of God and others in love. There are PERSONAL GIFTS (time, energy, strength, skill, interests, culture, etc.), SPIRITUAL GIFTS (charisms of the Holy Spirit, faith, etc.), and MATERIAL GIFTS (money, property, etc.). The Stewardship model begins, therefore, by looking at the gifts we have received as clues to what God wants us to do (since He has given us these gifts so that we may use them for good). Our process begins by looking at the gifts we have received in our parishes, by looking around at the world and seeing what we can do with those gifts, and then working together to form a parish family, generate a civilization of love, and offer God beautiful worship. Long story short: we need your participation! Thank you!
