Know i have put this up a 1000 times in different wording but saying the same thing...but picked up a mega injury a week ago which is still swollen and bruised....by a stiletto!!...but some folk are too interested in routines and showcase dancing which is fine on stage/youtube but not for the busy dance floor ...and folk like busy dance floors and the buzzzzz and atmosphere it gives...vast open empty venues are soulless...but you can practise manic moves there.....yet ironically its at quiet venues with the flamboyant moves I get the injuries :-( dancers should concentrate on footwork and understanding the dance...dancing the moves the space allows...not the next bit of the routing you have learnt....watch out for your partner ...but also dance to your partners ability..the amount of dancers who start at extra advanced moves without knowing how I dance!!..and I know sound like a scratched record...but TIMING and LEAD..ahhhhhhhhhh I cannot do the move you have in mind if you do not lead me and worst of all....if you are dancing to another beat to me!! sometimes I am not sure if I am on 1...2...3...4 ...7.5....9.23...and the beat goes on!! xxx know one is too good to go back to basic and revise their footwork..not even me!! xx
