Know your Lakes and Waterways Development Authority commonly known as LAWWDA.......These pictures shows how Lawwda vechiles carry the Lechlade that emerges from the sewage plants around the Dal Lake and is unload just adjacent to the Dal Lake..............In fact these Sewage plants were installed around Dal lake only after spending thousands of crores of valuable public money but of no use Now......Dal lake could not be saved bcoz of the casual approach of the authorities at the helm of affairs.......The Lechlade that is highly poisionus in nature is dumped just across the road merely 50 meteres from Dal Lake on Foreshore Road which infact seeps again into the channel of lake that contaminates the waters of Dal lake ................I would like to highlight that the Centrifuge that converts this liquid Lechlade into solid manure lies defunct in all the plants that I visited......I fail to understand how the World famous Dal lake can be rescued when authorities who are supposed to conserve it are just watching silently while the Lake dies its own death...... this brings tears in my eyes and yes our future generations will curse all of us for keeping our eyes shut................
