Knowing Peace: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7 NIV) As unsettled and uncertain as life can be; those who know, love and follow Christ have a promise of peace always before us. We do not have to allow our circumstances; no matter how difficult or unwanted, to control us. We can gain the upper hand on these things by taking our petitions to God. God is listening. God sees and God answers prayer. Anxiety and fretting take us away from God. Prayer, gratitude and faith draw us closer to God. Its that simple. Today, dont merely seek to understand. For even in the best of circumstances our understanding is limited. Today, seek to be in fellowship and stay connected to Christ. Have a conversation. Do this and you will find the peace of God guarding your heart and mind. God only operates in sufficiency and abundance. Let the lavishness of all that Christ has to offer be yours. Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry evry-thing to God in prayer. (What a Friend We Have in Jesus)
