Knowing that, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16), the Bible urges us to pray, not just periodically or when we’re in trouble but, “…without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). For when we pray, it’s never the frequency, eloquence, length or sweetness of voice that God responds to. Neither is it the logic, orderliness or doctrine. Rather, it’s our persistence, determination and willingness to join others in agreement, “…concerning anything…” (Matthew 18:19), that result in God’s favourable response. So, the key to building a great prayer life is to always pray in faith and expect God to answer!
