Knowing that the mist would move back in over the city in the late afternoon yesterday, I decided to go for a quick flight with the idea to get some images of Table Mountain sticking out of a sea of mist. I was too far away from the mountain to really make the image work (ironically it was the mist itself keeping me from getting closer). Still a magic flight and I ended up over the Durbanville farmlands in the late evening light. Well done to Jan Niederhumer for getting the front page of The Times this morning with the same idea executed by quadcopter from the top of Lions Head! Also thanks very much Len Klopper for enduring the pain of a few extra drinks while waiting to help me with the hangar door!!!
