In high school, we played sports and spent many fun & eventful times together. I remember thinking back then “this girl is going places, she has so much drive and determination.” She always had a passion for helping others, and I just knew that she would choose a profession to fulfil that passion. Over the years we lost touch. She had moved away to Hamilton but thankfully we reconnected when she returned to Newfoundland with her family. I had come to a point in my life where I was fed up with being “unhealthy.” Junk food has been a weakness of mine since I can remember. While I knew that eating this way was not good for me, I couldn’t seem to kick the habit. At 32 I suffer from mild acne and IBS.
