Knowledge for the Soul - Daily Ar-Rahman – The All-Merciful ‘Rahman’ is an intensive form of mercy derived from the word ‘rahma’ which means mercy. Allah’s mercy in this world is general, it is given to the believer and the unbeliever. He (SWT) provides for them and gives them health and what they ask for. Hadith reported by Al-Bukhari, the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Allah created one hundred mercies, then He put one of them among His creatures by which they love one another, and Allah has the other ninety-nine.” Our deeds by themselves will not qualify us to go to Paradise but by the Mercy and Grace of Allah (SWT). Believers are merciful to all creatures. We should begin all our important actions with, “In the Name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate”
