Knowledge yourself learn with Understanding The first thing people need to seriously learn is the difference between a prejudice person and a racist person. Prejudice stems from a form of every day differences...long hair, short hair, tatoos, language, education, fat people, religion ect...! But racism is a since of entitlement set up by an inherent feeling of superiority towards another culture based on their skin color, or culture period. Usually the dominant culture displays these traits via social issues, economic issues, and the justice system. These traits have been displayed since the inception of slavery and continue today, but white people ( not all ), but most dismiss it because of a form of a perceived breakthrough such as a black president. Yet others blame him for furthering the racial divide ( even though hes been disrespected openly), but do some by calling him monkey, coon, and yes nigger! Remember this if nothing else...racism main ingredients are the feeling of superiority, and oppression due to culture or skin color! Blacks in America have displayed neither action, hell even in Africa where black people are the majority white people felt superior and entitled! And this was on display for the world to see as it has been shown here. And before someone says well based on your definition men are racist towards women, I specifically said skin color, and culture. Also perceptions can play a major role! For instance I cant tell you how many people are shocked when I tell them more whites are on welfare than blacks! Or crime statistics amongst ethnicity on same ethnicity crime is the same, but the incarceration rate is higher due to sentencing. How studies have shown how ones area of living has been used to block them from getting a job, or even their name! Racism isnt hangings, draggings, or lynchings anymore, nope it has advanced and is cloaked by the evil people who know how to keep it going with subtle brilliance. Do I personally believe ALL white people are racist...no, but do I believe that the potential lies within yes I do. Peace to all!
