Known as AC-235s in Jordanian service, the CN-235 gunships carry an ATK M230LF 30 mm chain gun, which fires from the port-side door, as well as underwing hardpoints for AGM-114 Hellfire laser-guided missiles and unguided 70 mm rockets. The AC-235s carry a Thales I-Master Ku-band synthetic aperture radar and an L-3 Wescam MX-15 electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) turret that designates targets for the Hellfire missiles and the 30 mm gun. They are also fitted with AN/AAR-47 and AN/ALE-47 countermeasures systems and ballistic panels to protect them against infrared-guided surface-to-air missiles and other types of ground fire. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) - both of which currently fly CN235s - have expressed interest in ATK conversions, but no orders have firmed up as yet.
