Knox County Mayor Tim is a smart politician who grew up here going to Knox County public schools. He knows what makes good public education locally. His mother was a public school teacher & his father was Dean of Students at UT. Knox County Schools Superintendent Jim McIntyre is a pompous, arrogant jerk that is an educated fool. He has no idea how to relate to his constituency. He is the worst superintendent in our countys history. He needs to be given a one-way ticket back to Boston, as he is a bad fit here, as is our UTK Chancellor for some of the same reasons. Knox County School Board members are the only officeholders who arent term limited by the Knox County charter, but need to be. This years election was a referendum on McIntyre. Eighth District member Mike McMillan was the only board member opposing him in last year. Now McMillan will be likely be elected Chairman, as four new board members now oppose the superintendent. The other 4 board members will soon join the chorus that McIntyre must go or most of them will be voted out, too, in 2016.
