Knysna Municipality declined to identify the four local traffic officials who have been at home for with full salaries almost a year since September 2013, pending the outcome of an investigation. The municipality says the case is still sub judice. One of the suspended individuals is believed to have been the head of traffic and another his superintendent. According to the municipality, an independent forensic auditing firm is/was busy with an investigation.
