Kohima Komets are in the FINALSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS As you enter the stadium today, you could sense that this was a battle ground, an arena where only the toughest warrior dare to fight. There was an electric vibe in the air that pulsated through the entire ground, there were chants of Kohima Komets and New Market FC screaming across the stadium. You could feel that the entire population of Kohima had converged into this tiny arena to see the mother of all matches. This was it, the semi-finals worthy of a final as the Stadium quickly filled up and the latecomers had to resort to standing, in the end, there was no place to stand. This was the most packed stadium ever seen. Truly the expectations of the supporters would not denied. And so it started. Kohima Komets and New Market came into the ground scoring a phenomenal 31 and 27 goals each with no goals conceded. Both clean sheet would soon be shattered as Kivi sould score first only to concede 5 minutes later through a finely take free kick from Velukho in the first half itself. Kohima Komets would press and enjoyed slightly more possession but would be denied time and again while New Market pressed on but could not find the back of the net. We would hit the cross-bar and the post on either side of the half and although we had the clearer chances, their keeper Vekuto Puro would stand strong between the post. Extra time would see no goal scored and the match would go on to penalties. Kohima Komets never missed any penalty and New Market FC scored the 1-3-4 goals. Nganga would save the 2nd and 5th penalty and the ground erupted with people rushing into the ground from all corner into the ground to celebrate along with the crown. This was truly a privilege to be amongst the spectators today. The crowd was awesome and as the players fought it on the ground, the fans cheered each other out hoarse.
