Koichi Fukuda, the president of IJAS gave the lecture on “lessons for Japanese agricultural extension activities by the IT project in Thailand” at Tokyo University of Agriculture on December 17th. Finally, Koichi Fukuda explained the following five points as lessons for Japanese agricultural extension activities through the project in Thailand. • … In Japan should not be said. That is why the environment in Thailand is quite different from that in Japan. And people should respect local peoples feelings. And trust the people of local people as much as possible. • The technology should be improved for local situations. • The manuals is important to explain the details of technology. Documents should be translated into local languages. • Planning is important. 80 % of the results of implementation are decided by planning.
