Kolo Toure: Chelsea’s £20m Wonderkid Has A “Winning Mentality” Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure has hailed the ability of Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku ahead of an international between the two nations in Brussels on Wednesday. The pair are both dark horses for the World Cup in Brazil and it will be an intriguing match between two talented sides, with Liverpool defender Toure keen to take on two forwards that are regulars for Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Everton. “I have great respect for your [Belgiums] attackers (Christian) Benteke and Lukaku. Lukaku is a winner. He is physically strong, fast and has a winning mentality,” he declared. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast boss Sabri Lamouchi is wary of the threat Chelsea’s Eden Hazard will pose to his defenders, but insisted he will not set up to simply thwart the winger. “We are very pleased that we play against Belgium. Everyone knows that they have a good team. “That’s right, he’s [Hazard] in great shape. But we’re not going to guard him with two men. Everyone knows him and he will hurt us. Therefore, this match is just a good test,” he declared. Although Les Elephants have arguably been Africa’s best side for a number of years they have often been drawn in a group of death and will have hopes of progressing to the latter stages in Brazil later in the summer.
