Koma Malawian politics is the gift that keep on giving. - TopicsExpress

Koma Malawian politics is the gift that keep on giving. Throughout the campaign DPP and its offspring PP, have thrown stones at each other. Meanwhile MCP has maintained its dignity and stayed above the fray. Today, the pissing contest between the two parties continues while MCP stays put and watches the drama leaving MEC in peace to do its job. They have called for nobody to concede and have not attempted to immaturely hold victory dances. You want leadership, this is leadership. When everybody is yelling at each other, a leader remains composed. I am not impressed that DPP would call for PP to concede with less than 70% votes reported nor the unfounded allegations by PP that the opposition is rigging especially because of a potential loss in Zomba. Here is a piece of history for PP. Al Gore lost in his own state of Tennessee to George Bush and lost the presidency. He had been a representative and senator for the state circa 1976 to 1993 when he became VP of Clinton. Yet he lost that state and the presidency. If he had won it, Bush would have lost. Things happen. Just simply because you gave them goats it does not guarantee you votes. If we have to manually count these votes to bring credibility, so be it. Unfortunately the handling of the Election Day by MEC lost them credibility.
