Kona is stunning as always but the humidity - woah! Went for a 4km jog this morning and was slammed in the face by the humidity. It was as if I had never done any exercise in my life! Athletes racing in the IM - its all about proper hydration and electrolyte replacement. It might even be worth purchasing a set of scales to measure fluid loss (weight pre training then weight post training), to stay on top of hydration in the weeks leading in to the race. And hydration is not just about guzzling water either as this may lead to hyponatraemia. Its about replacing electrolytes. Be smart about it! :-) Shotz Sports Nutrition Tri Alliance witsup
